This position will coordinate international teams, primarily based in India, and serve as a key connection between HUMEXA leadership, clients, coders, quality analysts, trainers, team leaders, and operational stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, excellent English communication skills, advanced Excel and analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage complex projects involving multiple departments, countries, and time zones.
Previous Medical Coding experience is preferred but not mandatory. A strong project-management professional with relevant healthcare, operations, implementation, or analytics experience can be trained on the technical aspects of Medical Coding.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management and Operational Leadership
Lead the day-to-day coordination and management of Medical Coding projects.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, and dependencies.
Coordinate work across international teams, operational departments, clients, and subject-matter experts.
Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
Identify risks, delays, resource limitations, and process gaps before they affect client commitments.
Assign clear owners, deadlines, and follow-up actions for open items.
Support project implementations, client transitions, workflow changes, team expansions, and new coding specialties.
Maintain visibility into staffing, workload, productivity, quality, backlog, and operational readiness.
Ensure trackers, SOPs, reports, meeting notes, and project documentation remain current and accurate.
Client and Executive Communication
Serve as a primary operational point of contact for assigned clients and internal leadership.
Lead recurring client meetings, implementation discussions, operational reviews, and project touchpoints.
Prepare and deliver clear, professional presentations and executive updates.
Communicate project status, performance trends, risks, dependencies, and proposed solutions.
Create meeting agendas, summaries, action plans, reports, and follow-up communications.
Guide discussions professionally and ensure decisions and responsibilities are clearly documented.
Manage expectations transparently and escalate material risks with facts, context, and recommended actions.
Communicate effectively with senior leaders, clients, operational teams, and technical resources.
International Team Management
Coordinate teams primarily located in India, as well as stakeholders in other countries.
Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, communication channels, and performance standards.
Work closely with coders, QA analysts, trainers, team leaders, supervisors, and subject-matter experts.
Support workload allocation, staffing coordination, team readiness, and performance monitoring.
Promote strong collaboration across cultures, departments, and time zones.
Ensure team members have the access, information, training, and operational support required to perform successfully.
Identify communication or accountability gaps and implement practical corrective actions.
Analytics and Performance Reporting
Build and maintain project trackers, dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports.
Analyze productivity, coding quality, turnaround time, backlog, rework, staffing, and other operational indicators.
Identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and root causes.
Translate data into clear recommendations for clients and leadership.
Use Excel to organize, validate, analyze, and present large or complex data sets.
Create summaries and presentations that are clear, accurate, and decision-oriented.
Monitor agreed KPIs and ensure performance concerns have documented action plans.
Quality, Process Improvement, and Compliance
Partner with Medical Coding and QA subject-matter experts to monitor accuracy and quality.
Support the creation and maintenance of SOPs, workflows, training materials, and reporting standards.
Ensure process changes are documented, communicated, trained, and validated.
Identify recurring errors, delays, or workflow issues and coordinate corrective action.
Promote continuous improvement through structured problem-solving and measurable changes.
Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, client requirements, data-security standards, and HUMEXA policies.
Ensure patient or client information is handled only through authorized systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Operations, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in project management, operations management, implementation, client services, or a comparable leadership role.
Demonstrated experience working with international, offshore, or geographically distributed teams.
Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
Strong ability to lead meetings, guide discussions, deliver presentations, and communicate with clients and senior leadership.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, filtering, data validation, reporting, and analysis.
Experience managing timelines, risks, action items, deliverables, and multiple stakeholders.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in an evolving environment.
Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Availability to work Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Medical Coding, Revenue Cycle Management, Professional Billing, Facility Billing, claims, denials, or healthcare operations.
Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, coding quality, or coding-productivity concepts.
Experience working with U.S. healthcare clients, hospitals, physician groups, or health systems.
Experience managing teams based in India.
Experience with healthcare platforms, electronic medical records, coding systems, or workflow-management tools.
Experience with Power BI, advanced reporting tools, data visualization, or workflow automation.
PMP certification or formal project-management training.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other process-improvement methodologies.
